Masseria San Giovanni is located in the Itria Valley, the heartland of Puglia that is home to an immense expanse of ancient olive groves, very close to the Regional Parc of Dune Costiere and to the Adriatic beaches of Savelletri and Torre Canne. The Masseria was built in the second half of the 19th century following the traditional architecture of a fortified Masseria, or farmhouse.

New to Long Travel in 2023, Masseria San Giovanni, an idyllic retreat nestled in a captivating landscape adorned with ancient olive trees, fragrant orange groves, flourishing vegetable gardens, and vibrant Mediterranean flowers. Dating back to 1600, this enchanting Masseria showcases the distinctive architectural style of fortified farms that are synonymous with the region. Imbued with historical significance, our property has been meticulously restored in accordance with local traditions, using authentic materials and preserving original details. This dedication ensures the safeguarding of the farmhouse's monumental value within the annals of architectural history.

Within the Masseria's grounds, you will discover a modest church from the early 17th century known as Chiesa "Madonna della Madia." Once a spiritual sanctuary for residents, workers, and visitors, this sacred space provided solace for agriculturalists seeking moments of prayer and gratitude. Today, the church remains a venue for festivities and contemplation, inviting our guests to immerse themselves in its serene ambience and find solace in silence.

Throughout the property, picturesque areas beckon guests to unwind and revel in the tranquil atmosphere. Bask in the shade of towering trees as you indulge in a leisurely lunch or our bespoke "couture picnic." Situated in the fraction of Montalbano di Fasano, Masseria San Giovanni resides on the historic Via Traiana, an ancient Roman route that once connected the Holy Land to Rome. THE ROOMS

There are 15 rooms in total, positioned in the centre of the Masseria while offering a sense of space and privacy for all guests.

Each room offers different viewpoints, such as the citrus grove, the landscape and hills, as well as the Adriatic Sea and olive groves. Choose from three different types of guest rooms: Double Classic, Deluxe Room, and the Junior Suites which offer a private terrace and Jacuzzi. Furniture and decorative
elements pay homage to Apulian tradition with design touches that serve the needs of the contemporary traveller.

Each room features a spacious double bed (some with two single beds), wardrobe, in-room safe, mirrors, high-quality toiletries, air conditioning, smart TV, ensuite bathroom, and scenic views.
