Long Travel was founded in 1988 by Mr. and Mrs. Long, two passionate educators with a deep love for Italy. Their dream was simple yet ambitious: to uncover Italy’s most breathtaking, off-the-beaten-path destinations and create unforgettable travel experiences. However, they often struggled to find accommodation that truly reflected the beauty and authenticity of the regions they explored. Determined to change this, they began curating a handpicked collection of exceptional properties, each offering something unique—whether it was a charming farmhouse in Puglia, a hidden coastal retreat in Sicily, or an elegant villa in the Tuscan hills.

Over 35 years later, we remain as dedicated as ever to sharing our passion for Italy. From its humble beginnings in a home office in Shropshire, Long Travel has evolved, with offices in Shrewsbury and Birmingham before embracing a more international approach. Today, our team works remotely across the UK, Slovenia, and, most importantly, Italy itself—allowing us to deepen our local expertise and remain at the heart of the destinations we love.
