Southern Sardinia boasts some of the most spectacular coastlines in Italy, with Caribbean-like turquoise sea. In the South-Eastern tip of Sardinia you will find the famous Villasimius. It was once a small village of fishermen and shepherds, but, since the 1960’s, there has been a substantial boost to tourism and it is now one of the most popular holiday destinations in Sardinia. The old town offers many bars, shops and restaurants, and you will find small workshops, which sell pretty local products.Nestled into the curve of the famous Campus Beach, part of Villasimius’ Marine Park, Hotel Cormoran, a modern Mediterranean-style hotel, is comfortable and tasteful, with touches of traditional Sardinian style.
Owned by the same family since 1976, Hotel Cormoran is a traditional Sardinian seaside beach hotel. Beautiful landscaping, expanses of green lawns, lofty palms with an additional mix of Mediterranean flowering plants and scented shrubs like Myrtle and Oleander adorn the grounds of the Hotel Cormoran, always with a view of that white sandy beach and blue sea. The Hotel Cormoran paints a very pretty picture!
Beyond the gardens, the Hotel Cormoran’s beautiful sandy beach, with crystal clear water and fine white sand, is part of a protected marine area with the nearby Capo Carbonara Marine Reserve at its heart. Hotel Cormoran’s own diving centre makes this the ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty of this stunning coastline.

The main formal restaurant of the Hotel Cormoran offers a mixture of traditional Sardinian, Mediterranean and international cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and accompanied by a selection of some of Sardinia’s best wines – fresh, delicate Vermentino di Sardegna or powerful, wonderful Cannonau, a variety of the Granche grape unique to Sardinia. Then why not grab a snack or enjoy a buffet lunch at the poolside restaurant, or nip to the beach bar for a refreshing drink after a hard day’s sunbathing. Our past Long Travel clients cannot get enough of the delicious food and wine that the Hotel Cormoran has to offer. Attention has also been paid to breakfast, where you can enjoy a variety of freshly baked cakes and breads, alongside locally sourced meats, cheese, fresh coffee and fresh eggs cooked to order.
