Hotel Del Levante is a family-friendly hotel, the perfect seaside location right on the beach in Torre Canne, Puglia.
The beach Hotel Del Levante nestles into the sweeping curve of a golden sandy beach, which gently shelves into a transparent and turquoise sea. At the other end of the bay, lies the small resort of Torre Canne and the gleaming white lighthouse, sitting on the horizon, tempts you to take a stroll along the sand. In fact, a sandy saunter of about 500 metres brings you into the resort.
It is definitely its location that scores Hotel Del Levante highly with us at Long Travel. Built in the 80’s, this hotel impresses Long Travel client’s also for its gardens and the absolutely charming and stylish marine design of its spacious lounges. The lovely fresh combination of marine blues and whites is punctuated with beautiful Pugliese Cutrofiano ceramics and large comfy sofas. It all feels very smart. There is a welcoming bar area, which spills onto the elegantly furnished terraces in good weather, and a predictably large restaurant.
The crowning glory of this spectacular location is that the grounds of Hotel Del Levante almost reach the water’s edge. Pretty landscaping, expanses of green lawns, lofty palms, secular olive trees, Mediterranean cacti and flowering plants and shrubs adorn the terraces, always with a backdrop of blue sea and sky. It’s a picture! The large pool and children’s pool of Hotel Del Levante sit on the terraces and there is plenty of room for sunbathing or sitting under the shade of an olive tree, reading a book. Close to the beach and elevated above it, is the popular outdoor dining area, an intimate space, which serves delicious salads and snacks during the day and then becomes a pizzeria and a la carte restaurant in the evenings.
Hotel Del Levante’s own private beach is fantastic. Torre Canne’s long, wide stretches of golden sand and shallow, transparent waters attract holidaymakers and locals, especially in high season and at weekends. Quite low-key at times, and absolutely buzzing with life at others, a small handful of gelaterie, restaurants, bars, shops, a short promenade and a striking lighthouse, render it interesting enough to potter around, day or night.
