Hotel Helvetia is beautifully situated on the Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence) at Sestri Levante. It has been managed by the Familia Pernigotti for three generations.

The property was purchased in 1926 by Ing. Umberto Pernigotti, the father of Lorenzo and his future wife, Mrs. Anselmi. After one year of changes and improvements, including the addition of one floor, the building became the family’s private home. Land next to the home, at the time a cultivated vineyard, was also purchased. It was transformed into a lush, terraced Mediterranean garden with Canary palms, oleander, and prickly pear bushes.

This 4-star hotel offers elegant rooms and junior suites with sea or garden views, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Each includes a flat-screen TV with satellite and pay-per-view channels, and a private bathroom with toiletries.

Sestri Levante Train Station is a 10-minute walk from the property, and links to the Cinque Terre territory and Portofino. La Spezia and Genoa are within 40 minutes by car.
