Stunning location, right on the sea makes for spectacular views from the Hotel Kalura, a family friendly hotel in the resort of Cefalu, Sicily.
Just beyond Cefalu (about 2km), in a stunning location, on a rocky promontory, right by the sea, is the family friendly Hotel Kalura. At Long Travel we feel that this spot is second to none in Cefalu. Its lovely Mediterranean gardens wind down (via a stepped path) to the sea, the hotel Kalura’s bathing platforms and the little beach below. It is the perfect small spot for the kids to dip their toes in the water. The fantastic terraces overlook nothing but the beautiful coastline and blue sea, and are a perfect spot for enjoying an evening aperitivo. In summer, the hotel Kalura offers a candle-lit dinner evening, usually once a week, and these have proved to be very popular with past Long Travel clients. Dinner is usually served in the large dining room where the cuisine is simple and good, using mainly fresh ingredients.
The Hotel Kalura has a pleasing, modern feel and a style and elegance, which here at Long Travel we find extremely attractive, with the lounge and bar area being particularly comfortable. The rooms are simple and functional, although quite stylish for a three star hotel, with terracotta and Mediterranean colours of corals and aquamarine, as well as crisp fresh white. All have balconies, either with sea-view, or with a view towards a wooded area, which is pleasant.
Past Long Travel clients have thoroughly enjoyed their stays and agree that, with its excellent location, the Hotel Kalura is a really good base for exploring this side of the island on your family getaway.
