I Moricci are boutique, agritourism villas in Peccioli, in the Tuscan countryside.
The I Moricci farm is led following organic methods, a kind of agriculture respectful of the environment has been chosen since the beginning. In 1998 I Moricci Farm was born of the will to give new life to the almost abandoned estate, whose owners were and are an old Florentine family.
I Moricci boutique apartments stretched over about 28 hectares, 12 of which are occupied by a wood of Mediterranean plants, including oaks, acacias and pine-trees, with an undergrowth of hawthorns, knee-hollies, heathers and blackberry bushes. In the woods Long Travel clients can have relaxing walks, during which you might happen to see typical wild animals, such as hares, pheasants and, if you are lucky, even roebucks. The whole I Moricci farm lies inside an area where hunting is forbidden so the animals are very happy roaming. On the rest of the land olive-trees, vines, seasonal plants and vegetables are grown.
The farmhouse I Moricci has an outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by an area with armchairs, sunbeds and sunshades, fenced in by a laurel hedge and closed with a little gate. There is also a small playground for children, a spacious veranda overlooking the swimming pool where one can relax reading a book or have delicious barbecues. You can even challenge your friends to a game on the garden chessboard.
The most important cities nearby in Tuscany, are the thermal towns of Casciana, Uliveto and Montecatini which are within short driving distance from the agritourist I Moricci. The landscape is varied and unpolluted with smooth plains and hills covered with ancient woods which change with the seasons. The winding course of river Era flows at the foothills. I Moricci is a beautiful place to lose yourself in the Tuscan countryside among the serene plains and luscious green forests.
