Il Grappolo are family friendly, country apartments in Citta Sant'Angelo in Abruzzo, Italy. We at Long Travel think the agriturismo apartments at Il Grappolo are a paradise for couples, or families alike!

Il Grappolo apartments, on a small traditional agritourist farm, has charmed Long Travel clients over by the warmth and generosity of its owners as well as the picturesque setting of the swimming pool.

The owners of Il Grappolo produce their own DOC wines, mainly from the famous Montepulciano and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo grapes. They also grow most of their own fruit and vegetables, which guests are welcome to pick and eat.

Il Grappolo’s simple apartments are in four former farm buildings – La Torretta (the old tower), Le Scuderie (the stables), La Cantina (the wine storage barn) and La Casa Colonica (the farmhouse). The Il Grappolo apartments have a rural yet traditional feel, with real country style including period furniture, painted pine, iron framed beds, mix with ginghams, plaids and flowery fabrics. Some apartments have characterful stone floors and original wooden beams, whilst others are a bit more modern than traditional.

The lovely swimming pool, about 20 metres from the apartments, is the perfect place to enjoy this peaceful and attractive spot. The farm also has dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, pigs, geese, a peacock, a donkey, a tiny horse and a family of beautiful deer, which can be hard to spot amongst the olive trees but a real treat for the kids!

Surrounded by acres of vineyards, olive trees and open countryside, with beautiful views, Il Grappolo is in a wonderfully tranquil and picturesque spot in Citta Sant'Angelo. Near two National Parks, the small and pretty mediaeval town of Città Sant’Angelo, is just 8km from the coast, it is in an incomparable location in Abruzzo. The lovely panorama stretches to the mountains in one direction, the town in another, and to a strip of the sparkling blue Adriatic Sea on the horizon.
