Le Saline are high quality self-catering villas in Palau, Sardinia, just 400m from a beautiful private beach with golden sand and clear, turquoise sea. We at Long Travel love the quality and privacy offered by each villa, plus the fantastic Mali Beach Bar.
Just opposite the island of Caprera, about 5km from the lively harbour town of Palau, Le Saline’s self-catering luxury villas are built on the hillside, sloping down towards the stunning azure sea that Sardinia is so famous for.
Le Saline’s modern family self-catering villas were designed to fit into the unspoiled and enchanting landscape of Palau, while being superbly finished and well equipped. They offer comfort, privacy and relaxation. Spacious inside, the décor of the luxurious Le Saline’s villas is modern Mediterranean, with high quality local materials like Sardinian granite, subtle whites lifted by careful use of colour and linen highlighting typical Sardinian art motifs. Outside, each self-catering villa of Le Saline has its own furnished patio and private enclosed garden, with barbecue and outside shower to rinse off the sand and salt when coming home from a day at the beach. Just perfect for families who love “al fresco” living and taking things at their own pace.
The beautiful private beach for Le Saline’s self-catering villas is archetypal Sardinia – a lovely, generously sized cove with fine, golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise sea. The superb and private Mali Relaxing Beach Bar, with friendly staff, big comfy chairs and loungers, is an unexpected oasis and a must for drinks and snacks throughout the day – past Long Travel clients thinks it’s a perfect place to relax by the sea.
Palau is definitely one of the most important seaside towns in North East Sardinia. Its modern harbour is an important landing and hopping off point for ferries to and from Corsica and the archipelago of La Maddalena.The good choice of bars, shops & restaurants offer a great “passeggiata” with uncontaminated beaches nearby, framed by small rocky islands that emerge from the crystal-clear sea.It ‘striking coastline offers some weird and wonderful rock formations sculpted by the wind.

- The Le Saline villas are spacious, modern and well equipped. Inside the living/dining rooms are comfortable, with table, chairs and sofa beds should you need them. Each Le Saline villa is equipped with Satellite TV and air-conditioning. The décor is modern Mediterranean, with subtle whites lifted by careful use of colour to give a chic, stylish finish.
- Kitchens are well equipped, with oven, 4-ring hob, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine, plus good quality pots, pans and utensils. Most kitchens are in the living area, though there are one or two villas with the kitchen in a separate room.
- Outside, every villa has its own private garden space, with local stonework and fragrant Meditterranean plants and trees. The furnished patios offer table, chairs and sunbeds, as well as outdoor shower and barbecue – perfect for outdoor living and making the most of the sunshine!
New villas with all you need, even shampoo and soap! Near the beach, welcome breakfast was a nice surprise. Wifi only available near reception but for us wasn’t a problem because it’s a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and nature of Sardinia. – Yvonne, Yorkshire
