Masseria Cervarolo is a unique boutique country chic hotel in the countryside of Ostuni in Puglia. Long Travel clients adore the authenticity, the light Pugliese stone of the Masseria Cervarolo & its relaxing gardens surrounding the pool.
Virtually equidistant between Ostuni and Cisternino (approx 7km), boutique agritourism Masseria Cervarolo is so lovely and everything about it shouts “Puglia”.
A mixture of masseria and trulli, with little courtyards and stone pathways, the limestone building of Masseria Cervarolo gleams in its picturesque landscape. Not over-restored, the family aimed to change as little as possible and the result is stunning. The whole place has a comfortable simplicity and this rather contemporary, rustic chic romantic style really suits it. Very environmentally aware, modern facilities are discreet, made to blend in with the ambience of the Masseria Cervarolo in Ostuni. Furnishings and fabrics are traditional, usually hand-crafted by local artisans. Staying here is like being in someone’s Italian country home, relaxed and comfortable.
Masseria Cervarolo is a garden enthusiast’s paradise and the gardens are a dream. Lush green lawns, cascading terraces and flower beds, teeming with colour, striking shocking pink bougainvillea against honey-coloured walls, it is quite literally picture perfect. Not to mention Masseria Cervarolo’s pool is superb, hewn out of natural rock, like a gift of nature.
The restaurant at Masseria Cervarolo, in a separate building (and under a lovely covered terrace), serves fantastic, typical country Pugliese food and Pugliese wines. It is an enchanting space, with a huge glass window into the kitchen, which allows guests to watch the talented chef at work. The real heart of Masseria Cervarolo, the chef often offers his guests cookery lessons, wine and olive oil tastings here, too.
What a place! Masseria Cervarolo’s almost dreamlike serenity is utterly captivating and VERY romantic. It feels exclusive and we at Long Travel love it.
