Hotel San Luca Palace is a four-star hotel located in the very heart of Lucca, famous for its ancient city walls built in the sixteenth century, and still beautifully preserved.

Pisa, with its Piazza dei Miracoli included in the UNESCO World heritage Site list for the Leaning Tower, the Duomo and the Baptistery, is about 20 km away. Viareggio, a popular seaside resort of Tuscany, is about 30 km away. Florence, the birthplace of the Italian language thanks to poets like Dante, Boccaccio and Petrarch, is about 80 km away. Galileo Galilei airport in Pisa can be reached in about forty minutes by car.

This hotel, housed in an ancient palace dating back to 1540 was carefully renovated and opened in 2007. It consists of a single building arranged over several levels. It includes a lobby, a reception, an elevator, a common room with a TV area, a tea room, a lounge bar, a chocolate shop called “Catinari”, a relaxation area, a small patio and a winter garden.

A rich continental breakfast buffet with pastries, cold cuts and cheeses, as well as gluten-free and organic products, is served every morning in the rooms called "Marchese Adalberto". At the Lounge bar guests can enjoy a drink while listening to music. It is also available for receptions and themed evenings.

A meeting room accommodating up to fifty people and equipped with the latest audiovisual devices is also available for guests, not included in the price. At the reception guests can rent bicycles, not included in the price and subject to availability.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the common areas and in all rooms, while the use of the car park and the garage with valet service located close to the hotel is not included in the price.

Located within the city walls but close to the bus station, it could hardly be easier to get to or better situated for access to the centre of town. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the breakfast fantastic, and our room was very comfortable and quiet. For a relaxing visit to the charming city of Lucca we couldn’t have found a better place to stay than the San Luca Palace. –Peter & Philippa, Banes
