Villa del Golfo is set to open its doors this summer under a new identity - Aethos Sardinia. Despite the name change, their commitment to offering you an exceptional experience remains unchanged Aethos Sardinia is a boutique beach hotel in Cannigione, Sardinia. In an elevated position, close to a rather upmarket residential area, and a 15-minute stroll to the resort of Cannigione, Aethos Sardinia overlooks the sweeping bay. The deep blue of the sea, bordered by grassy areas and pinewoods, is a breathtaking panorama, inescapable from almost every corner of the Aethos Sardinia

Like a traditional village, built into the hillside,  pathways meander between the low-rise “cottages” and terracotta roofs and it bursts with colour and romance.

Modern and with real style, the unique Aethos Sardinia is quintessentially Sardinian, shouting about its heritage with typical colours, décor, furnishings and finishes, but with a modern twist. The light, usually painted, wooden furniture is so obviously from Sardinia, full of character, of exceptionally good quality and extremely tasteful. Fascinating artefacts sit perfectly against background hues of white, pastel colours, cool and marine blues, and warm corals. Such a pleasing harmony and attention to detail give Aethos Sardinia a swish elegance and a luxurious feel.

The fabulous lounge area sits on a stunning terrace, with a beautiful panorama of the sea. Past Long Travel clients think it is the perfect place to relax on the comfy sofas, by the bar. A new outdoor sea-water swimming pool heated in the low season with a sun terrace and wonderful sea views is available in a quiet area of the Resort.

Aethos Sardinia's pretty Miraluna restaurant is well known for its excellent Mediterranean cuisine. It spills out onto the terraces and is very tempting at lunchtime or for a romantic candlelit dinner. We at Long Travel thoroughly enjoy the food and are impressed by the creative cuisine. Our "Cutter Lounge & Restaurant" the newest Resort's restaurant on Cannigione beach is the perfect setting for any time of day. Relax in the welcoming shade of its terrace while you enjoy refreshing juices, delicious pizzas and delicate local dishes, all while taking in a spectacular view of the crystal-clear sea

The result of the careful restoration of an ancient Gallura farmhouse, "La Colti Farmhouse" is perhaps one of the Resort’s facilities that best represents our roots. It offers a typical Sardinian menu, prepared with seasonal produce that comes from our farm. An experience of rare intensity that allows you to discover the most authentic Sardinian gastronomic traditions. Cooking lessons are available where typical regional dishes are made (extra cost, pre-booking advised).
“Acqua di Mare” the private sea deck becomes the perfect setting for a romantic dinner for two, is an exquisite dining experience surrounded by nature and accompanied by the gentle sound of the sea.
A sunset aperitif, and a candlelight dinner provided by our MiraLuna Restaurant, are the perfect ingredients to make your special occasion unique.
“Chiaro di Luna” in BonAria the Hotel sailing Yacht, welcomes our guests in a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a romantic dinner for two, provided by our MiraLuna Restaurant. The refinement of Sardinian seafood cuisine and Sardinian wines are combined with the pleasure of quiet sailing on the enchanted Gallura Sea to create truly memorable moments that will resonate in your heart.


When it comes to dining, guests on a half-board basis can choose to eat at the Resort’s restaurants: at “MiraLuna" in the hotel or at the "Cutter Lounge and Restaurant” in Cannigione or at the "La Colti” Farmhouse in Cannigione countryside (including transfer). More relaxation is to be had at the hotel's serviced bathing platform, across the road (about 150m) and through the pines, or guests can take the complimentary shuttle to one of the larger beaches nearby, with light golden sand, crystal transparent sea and more colours of blue, turquoise and translucent emerald green than you could ever imagine.

Aethos Sardinia has implemented a series of environmental initiatives that include 100% electric cars “Renault Zoe" that are available in the hotel for daily rental. The battery recharging points are located in the hotel's private car park.
