Why We Love Italy...

We are extremely excited to be returning to Italy, and here are our top six reasons to go!

Italian Cuisine

Food and wine play a central role in Italian culture, so much so that meals are considered to be a cause for celebration and an opportunity for friends and family to come together. Regional variations contribute to the rich tapestry that today continues to bring joy to millions of visitors to Italy and Italians alike.

Italian Art & Architecture

From the awe-inspiring ceiling of the Sistine Chapel where the genius work of Michelangelo is displayed to the Italian opera. The Italians are extremely proud of their arts and heritage - it's easy to see why! It's a sheer delight to visit Italy’s cities and see how the architecture from this country has shaped thought and style across the globe. The joy that is reflected in these buildings and the idea that Italy was once the master of all of Europe makes Italians among the proudest of nations!

Italian History

Italy's location on the Mediterranean coastline linked it with the trade routes of the ancient civilizations that developed in the region and with the city of Rome's rise to power, the Italian peninsula became the centre of a huge empire that lasted for centuries. Any trip to Italy is an opportunity to visit its famous monuments and witness and learn about its incredible history and rich past!

Italian Beaches

With around 4,660 miles of coastline, Italy has a beach to suit everyone, whether in search of nature and fun, or rest and relaxation. The Italian coast, with its hundreds of gulfs, coves and inlets, touristic ports and long, sandy beaches offer unspoilt choice. Wild beaches and pristine landscapes are surrounded by the scents of Mediterranean vegetation and hidden coves are caressed by a turquoise sea.

Italian National Parks

Italy offers so much to its visitors, from historical sites and beautiful beaches, to its tantalising cuisine and uncountable archaeological sites; a visit to a National Park may not be top of the list, however, these stunning places of natural beauty should certainly not be overlooked! It doesn’t matter what area of Italy you visit – there’s always a truly dramatic national park close by and many of them can be reached from a nearby city.

Italian Agriturismo's

When browsing our website you may have come across the word Agriturismo, it’s simply a combination of the words "agriculture" and "tourism" in Italian. An agriturismo is a farm stay, or a style of vacationing in farm house resorts. Agritourism properties are suitable for all, with many having farm animals that children can interact with and others may specialise in certain types of produce, everything from olive oil to basil.
