Cisternino
Cisternino has an utterly charming old town centre which has remained virtually intact for centuries. Like other neighbouring towns in Puglia it has many white washed stone walls and narrow streets. But most importantly (to us) it holds some of our most beautiful and quaint trulli properties.
Famous for their white cone roofs and circular plan living areas, they draw curiosity from all over the globe. Dotting the landscape with what seems to be miniature white castles it’s no surprised that they attract so many visitors! These structures date back to the 19th century and were constructed for storehouses and even livestock but these buildings have been drastically transformed with a boutique and luxurious twist.
Once you step in you will not believe the amount of space and the architecture is impeccable!
